Since my last post lots of good stuff has happened, and I've been getting all my books in. First off my boyfriend got a job as a security guard, and the uniform is a big bonus for me. With his little badge and boots all clean cut it just makes me want to eat him up, but the draw back is I got to wake up at five in the morning to make him breakfast. Also I had a great interview at Harry & David in the mall with a women who I can associate with because we are both outgoing gamers. Honestly I hope I get the job so I can work in a place I will enjoy with people who are more relaxed personality-wise. When I worked at Gap Outlet everyone was so impersonal and stuck up, and there were so many people working there I only saw one person twice. Plus I got another interview at Brooks Brothers on Friday so wish me luck so maybe I'll have two jobs this Christmas. As for my recent reads I might have skipped the second book in the Gena Showalter's Alien Huntress series because the third book Savor Me Slowly was kind of unusual. This maybe my first escapade into science fiction romance, but with the female of the story being a bio-engineered biotic humanoid it was a little hard to get used to. She is a really messed up woman emotionally due to all the stuff she is forced to do or die, but you can still understand how she feels. She is put together with human and animal DNA then they modified that with alien technology, and there is a chip in her head that constantly does statistics and other cool stuff. Unfortunately it can double as a torture device and can even kill her if her owner chooses so I was happy when the handsome hero came along (after being tortured himself) to rescue her. There are tons of obstacles to their romance like friends of his who want her dead and a genocidal alien race, but you'll be happy to know there is a great ending.
